2 Keys To A Perfect Flight

Give me two things on a flight and I am a happy camper:

1. An aisle seat. I like a little breathing room and easy access to the bathroom. Okay mostly easy access to the bathroom.

2. An untouched crossword puzzle. I get so frustrated when my in-flight magazine’s puzzle has already been done, and I usually fight the urge to ask my neighbor to check theirs. Sometimes I can get to it before they sit down. I’m insane.

Today I had both! Even though I was B12, I still scored an aisle seat AND I had two empty crosswords. Pair that with a delicious breakfast (Vigilant Eats = PERFECT early morning airport meal!) and I was incredibly content.

We will ignore the fact that my second flight got cancelled and that my 3 hour layover turned into 5, only because this day is about love and happiness and the airport was on board (PUN!):

How cute is Southwest? Totally made my day. As did finally figuring out how to connect to the wifi so I can occupy myself during my day at the airport.

And for your viewing pleasure, this adorable “Kids React to Valentine’s Day” video getting sent around my Dallas LDR crew.

In other news, I’d like to try this:

Hope you’re having a fantastic, love-filled day!

Congratulations to LINDSEY, the winner of the Stella and Dot giveaway, who tweeted and Facebooked about it! Email me your address and we’ll send you the jewelry!

  1. Oh man! I tried the Ben & Jerrys PB banana greek frozen yogurt and it was SO good!!

Now personally I’d rather have the aisle, mostly because I hate when people make me get up so they can use the bathroom…lol

  2. I must always have an aisle seat because I frequent the bathroom often! I also need an aisle seat to stretch out my legs. I need a good book to keep me entertained on flights as well! safe travels!

  3. I love when Southwest decorates for holidays. I’m always traveling during those times since they correspond to college vacations and I just love it. It makes traveling more enjoyable.

  4. That video was so cute! Kids really say the funniest and sweetest things. I love their honesty.

  5. I once made the mistake of not taking the aisle seat on a plane. I thought the window would be better, but having to pee more than I ever had in my life and sitting next to one guy on a laptop and the other sleeping was AWFUL!

  6. Aisle seats ARE the best. I always make my husband sit at the window, just cuz I’m so considerate like that.
I usually save at least two magazines that I subscribe to if I know I’m flying soon. A little Real Simple or Lucky makes the flight go by so much faster!

  7. I LOVE flying and traveling and prefer the window seat so I can look at the view :) I also like to bring magazines/books to read and listen to some tunes. If a good movie is on, I don’t mind that either :) Safe travels!

  8. I HAVE TO HAVE AN AISLE SEAT!!!!! So happy you got both of your “musts” :D

    P.s. you’re in today’s High Five Friday post!!!!! :D http://adashofmeg.com/2013/02/14/high-five-friday-53/

  9. oh man! i haven’t flown in forever but agreed an aisle seat is clutch especially when you have long legs!

  10. I’m glad you finally got there and in good spirits!

  11. ahhh, adorable video!!! thanks for sharing =] and the greek b&j is gooooood stuff. just tried it for the first time last week (peanut-butter banana flavor– how cool is that?!). NOMMERS!
