Speaking of exercise, I thought I’d share the quick run I came up with this morning.
I wanted to get in some speed work before I lifted some weights, but was feeling a little sick of my usual routines. So, I created a simple interval and sprint workout in my head and it made the time fly! I got in about 3.3 miles in the 30 minutes, and speed work is always challenging in a really satisfying way.
For the tabata sprints, I use a free app on my phone that counts down for me. I also jump off to the sides of the treadmill during the rest, but only do that if you can do it safely! You can always just take the speed down for the 10 seconds if that works better for you.
As usual, always check with a doctor before starting a new exercise routine.
Let me know if you try this!
