I’m heading back from a very successful bachelorette weekend in Palm Springs!
Top of our hike Friday morning
I’m so grateful that I was able to make it out to celebrate my little brother’s fiance. I’m also so honored I was included! It was great to not only get away for a little while, but also get to know her friends and sister better. They are so funny!
I attempted to like bloody marys, but really I’m a mimosa girl.
It was my first time in Palm Springs, and aside from the lengthy rush hour drive I had from LAX (seriously people in LA, how do you deal with the traffic? I would be permanently in a bad mood), I loved it! The mountain views are stunning, the mid-century modern architecture had me reliving my college art history classes, and the weather was just perfect. Chilly in the mornings, but then a warm sun and cool breeze all day.
The downtown strip
It was a pretty low key weekend, which was just how the bride-to-be wanted it. We went on a hike Friday morning, to brunch on Saturday morning, and out to dinner in the evenings, but other than that we just laid at the pool all day. Just a few silly “how well do you know the bride and groom” games were played. It was wonderful.
The brunch restaurant kept different types of confetti on hand!
Hot tub at the house we rented.
I’d definitely love to spend more time there. The little downtown strip had the cutest shops begging to be wandered into. So much art and design to explore. Hopefully I’ll be back!
Tomorrow starts the studying for Step One so I’ll be disappearing for a while. I’m so glad I was able to have a fun weekend away before a really stressful phase. And I’m very grateful to be getting such an amazing new sister!
