Yesterday morning I gave a research presentation at my high school. My dean and I have been working with them for the past few months, and it's so fun to get to be back and see my old principal and teachers. It has been ten years!! Dress (old) - Similar | Cardigan | Flats - similar, similar | Necklace is White Plum | Dog not for sale ;) When I graduated from high school I was in the depths of my eating disorder. The teachers remember me that way -- as a very high achieving, perfectionist . . .
My blog is 6 years old today! That's so crazy to me. Is there anyone out there that has been around since the early days? Say hi!! The Early Days I started this blog fresh out of college. I had actually started a food blog once during my senior year of college but I didn't share it with anyone. Blogs don't work too well when you're too nervous to have anyone read them ;) I was 22 years old, starting my very first job as a product manager at a national shoe company, and was starving . . .
Happy birthday to me! A great gift was all of the advice you guys shared with me. I was surprised by how varying, practical, and yet contradictory the tips were! I love that they are from people both younger and older than 27, too. They are a great way to get me thinking a little deeper about my life and how I want to live it. Enjoy! You may feel like an adult, you may think you know who you are and what you stand for, but you are only just beginning. Be open and understand that . . .
