Happy Friday!! How was your week?? Mine was pretty busy with events every night. That makes it fly by, but means I didn't have enough time to study! This weekend will be ALL about the studying - our respiratory final is next Friday. Last night I got to go to the Cardinals game with some friends. It might be the last game I see this season - the wild card race is looking kinda iffy for us! But it was an exciting walk-off win and a great night with friends. Here are my Friday Favorites . . .
Hi everyone! Long time no talk. I had a test this week, and yoga teacher training all last weekend meant time was at a premium. But I'm back, and ready to talk about Fall Clothes! A lot of the fall new arrivals came out last week, which means I spent too much time browsing and creating shopping bags that I'll never actually purchase. But it's nice to make wish lists and watch for sales, right? Right now I've got clinic clothes on my mind, since that's in my very near future. That means work . . .
Current Mood: hoping I can squeeze in a few beach days in Hilton Head before my summer is over! tank || dress || bikini || sandals || bag || sun hat || sunglasses || beach towel || pillow || chair || umbrella How did summer fly by so fast!? I had ALL these plans of things to get done and now suddenly I've only got a few weeks left before school starts again. I'm hoping I can push really hard on my work for the next two weeks and then use my final week for some (more - I've . . .
Ireland temperatures in the summer are not like the midwest in the summer! The country is pretty far north and so stays cooler, but the North Atlantic Drift keeps the temperatures pretty moderate. Never too cold, never too hot. My #1 advice is to pack layers!! It could be nice in just a t-shirt during the day, but you could want a sweater and jacket if it's windy or rainy (which happen quite often.) Check the weather ahead of time to see if you're experiencing a rare warm period where you . . .
Happy first day of summer!!!! I'm at a stage in my life where now when I put on shorts, a tank top, and some mascara I am "dressed up." Ruffle Tank - Similar, Similar, Similar || Scalloped Shorts || Leopard Sandals (on sale!) || Beaded Necklace This was the quick summer outfit I threw in a bag on the way to Yoga Teacher Training to wear on Saturday night. I had two events to go to -- a birthday party at home and a party with friends -- but ended up just staying at home for the birthday. . . .
BHLDN. That's "Beholden" for those of you that are totally unaware like me. It's Anthropologie's wedding line and everything about it just beautiful. Except for the prices. But a girl can dream! My friend got her dress for med prom there (a mauve bridesmaid dress), which led me to checking out the website. Of course I fell in love. Everything is stunning, bride or not! I couldn't resist sharing...someone please get something so I can live vicariously through you. And then let me borrow . . .
Last night was med prom! Most medical schools have a "prom", which is kind of silly, but also SO fun. At SLU it is primarily first years that go, although there were quite a few fourth years there for their last hurrah. We took it as an excuse to get all dolled up and go take pictures in Forest Park, which is the popular spot for high school kids to take pictures for their actual proms. It was packed with people, and I'm sure we looked just like another group of 18 year olds! (My . . .
Have you guys heard of Shabby Apple? They used to do a whole bunch of blogger campaigns (this is not one, fyi) and the clothes were always cute but maybe a bit...matronly? Well I saw this post from Here & Now and clicked through to see the dress was Shabby Apple! That led me to browsing a bit (because I am very good at study procrastination) and I fell in love with a million things. The stuff is definitely still modest, and maybe I'm just getting older and more conservative, but I think . . .
I LOVED THE OSCARS DRESSES! Yay! I wasn't thrilled after the first two big award shows this season. I am a lover of clean lines, classic looks and solid colors, and this year's Oscar's red carpet gave me tons to gush over. I actually had to pare down my list because I liked quite a few, but below are my absolute favorites. And no I did not stay up until the end. And I apparently need to see more movies. Birdman seems like the one I should check out first, yes? Here's my best dressed list. . . .
Did you watch the Oscar's last night? I thought Ellen did a great job. Lots of beige and nude on the Red Carpet, which usually aren't my favorites, but I liked a few! There were TONS of amazing dresses! Here are my picks. (images from hollywoodlife.com) Amy Adams Cate Blanchett Emma Watson. (I'm obsessed with her.) Jennifer Lawrence. Kate Hudson. Lupita Nyong'0 Maria Menounos Jenna Dewan Tatum What were your favorites? . . .
