First, y'all rock. Thanks for your comments on yesterday's post! I will try to share more "real thought-y" type posts like that! I'm feeling totally uninspired by fall fashion. Not that there isn't cute stuff out there, but so much of it is super trendy and will go out of style soon, or is completely impractical for my hospital-based lifestyle. I've been crushing hard on GAP lately, though!! Sometimes their pieces are a little too simple, even for me, but this year I'm really feeing it. PS - . . .
I love shopping at Target. Some of my most complimented pieces are from there! My most current fave is the Who What Wear line, but the brand new A New Day line is going to give it a run for its money. It's so cute and of course is a great price. And to brag a little - my sister-in-law is on the team at Target that helped create this line! It just came out this week and I already have a list of things I want. I definitely want to try these pants for work first. They are such a cute style, . . .
Popping by to share details about the outfits I've shared on Instagram in the past few weeks! We're leaving Hilton Head tomorrow morning and then it's back to normal (or actually crazier than normal) life when I start 8 weeks of Internal Medicine. Soaking up every last bit of sunshine and relaxation I can get! There are only three days left of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!! It ends on the 6th (Sunday) and there is still so much great stuff left. Like...I almost was hoping it'd be sold out so I wouldn't be so tempted to buy it all! But between the workout clothes, awesome gifts (Christmas will sneak up soon!) and tons of great home items it's going to be hard to completely resist. I'm pretty sure at least one more pair of Zella leggings will have to be purchased. Here are the things left that I'm . . .
Hi from Indianapolis! I just drove up from a day with Brittany in Louisville, and this weekend is all bout celebrating my best friend LB's 30th! I'm excited for lots of yoga, paddle boarding, girl talk and wine. I wanted to share a few things quickly with you today: 1 - Pound My first article for STLMag.com is up! I'll be occasionally contributing to their health column, and for this first one I tried out a POUND class. It's a choreographed workout using drum sticks that you bang around. . . .
Have you heard enough about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale yet!? I am an expert online shopper. Or more online looker. It's my time wasting activity of choice :) And maybe you'll relate - there is nothing more frustrating then getting really excited about a sale, only to realize everything is still insanely expensive. Getting marked down to $400 is not helpful for me! So today I'm sharing some great stuff that's actually under $100 - a little more doable for my current budget. The . . .
How is everyone? Still full? Out shopping already? My family has never been into the Black Friday shopping. I'm not into early mornings and crazy crowds. But Cyber Monday? That I can get into. I do almost all of my shopping online. And luckily now it's pretty much just awesome sales all weekend, so no need to wait until Monday! I've gathered some of my current favorites for you guys, and I'll be eyeing the sales to see if there are some great steals! Teri put together a "sales" page on . . .
Have you guys heard of Shabby Apple? They used to do a whole bunch of blogger campaigns (this is not one, fyi) and the clothes were always cute but maybe a bit...matronly? Well I saw this post from Here & Now and clicked through to see the dress was Shabby Apple! That led me to browsing a bit (because I am very good at study procrastination) and I fell in love with a million things. The stuff is definitely still modest, and maybe I'm just getting older and more conservative, but I think . . .
It had to be done. I've been doing some retail therapy. I have purchased new items in bigger sizes so that I have clothes that fit my new body. I was happy with my new clothes, but there was still a problem: I hadn't gotten rid of the old stuff. So last week I did a closet clean out. I went through and tried almost every single thing on. Most of the skirts wouldn't even zip up. The jeans wouldn't go over my butt. Chino shorts looked like spandex. Most of my tops still fit, but I . . .
My clothes don't fit. In the past few weeks I've chosen to take my health seriously and conquer my eating issues once and for all. I'm eating more and working out less. Truthfully, if my metabolism weren't so damaged I may not be gaining much weight. However due to years of under-fueling for the amount of exercising I was doing, it seems that my body isn't quite happy where it is. So I'm finally letting my body heal and learn to trust me. That means eating consistently more and not stressing my . . .
