Didn’t Have to Switch (Live Fit Day 33)

Happy Friday!!

Today’s shoulder workout was supposed to conclude with the fourth and final cardio session for the week. However, in order to give myself a little extra sleep on a work day, I intended on skipping the cardio today and instead doing it tomorrow. I will naturally have more time to spend at the gym on a Saturday so it just made sense to me to switch things up.

However, after a 10 minute elliptical warm up and what ended up being a really quick shoulder workout, I had some time to kill so I ended up spending another 20 minutes on the elliptical and getting the cardio in as it says. Nice surprise!

I don’t like shoulders, but I really like the smith machine. I think because it lets me do intense-looking things with some extra help. I also am ready to move up from the 5 pounders, but 8 still felt like a little too much to use proper form. Next week.

Look familiar? Protein shake + 1/2 banana + rain on the windshield :( We’ve had such a gorgeous winter in Dallas but this weekend is supposed to be cold and wet.

Comfy Friday outfit. Sweater dresses are the easiest.

Gotta go – I’ve got a marketing plan to propose! This is exciting to me because I love marketing (I was a marketing and design major after all) and I’m finally getting to use my degree.

  • What did/are you majoring in in college?

Comments

  1. I was an English major, which I loved so so much! It’s also nice to use it every day as a writer/editor.

  2. Lindsey says:

    Marketing!

  3. I was a history and political science major and now I work in School Finance…weird haha but at least I have a job!!!

  4. I also studied graphic design! And media studies. Using your degree at work is the most rewarding thing.

  5. I majored in Biochemistry and Writing but now I’m a dietitian. Go figure. ;)

  6. Amy says:

I’m majoring in Sociology with a minor in Business…graduating in May….looking for something administrative/HR/marketing related.

  7. Jessie says:

I majored in broadcast journalism and sociology and now I’m almost a lawyer! I do use my reading and writing skills from journalism daily, just in a different way.

  10. Laine says:

I have an English degree, that I dont’ use, ha!

I’m in the exact same place in the trainer as you are! I don’t usually like shoulders at all, but for some reason I really enjoyed this particular workout, a lot. Did you find you liked it more than the shoulder workouts from P1? I know I sure did.

  11. Lily says:

May I mention one more time that you have the best style ever? I want your wardrobe gahhh

  12. I have done 2 workouts for week 5, and I’m debating on starting week 5 over again on Monday. I’m planning to do my 3rd week 5 workout today and then possibly another one tomorrow. I think I need to just do it again to get used to adding cardio back into my routine!

  13. Laurence says:

    Aerospace engineering =)

  14. Good luck at work!!! And I dislike shoulders too, haha but that’s because they are the hardest for me!

  15. I did journalism and communications (double degreed like a major college nerd), but work in marketing which is the perfect mix!!

  16. Julie says:

In college, I studied history and secondary education, two separate majors. I love history, but my passion is for education. I could teach math, science, or anything and be okay with it.

  17. i was a neuroscience major in college.

    love your dress!

  18. I’m contemplating a marketing major now!

  19. Tess says:

I majored in finance and got my master’s in accounting. Love your outfit! Super cute. How have you liked the Live Fit Trainer? I was thinking about starting the Jamie Eason LiveFit program.
