Gosh this has been an intimidating week. School is just… a LOT. So much to remember for each class. So many little assignments and online things to print and yadda yadda. I’ll get used to it (with the help of a type-A personality and a beautiful planner), but boy am I glad for a weekend to process it all!
Five Things I Ate:
Love Grown Super Oats! Tried the Nuts & Seeds version for breakfast with some frozen berries and almond butter. LOVE the texture – so gooey with all the chia and mix of grains. It isn’t sweet so you could add some sweetener or honey or maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter breakfast. At night with a crumbled chocolate KIND bar melted in wasn’t too shabby either…
Homemade veggie burger at Boylan Heights. And the the table’s leftover tater tots.
TJ’s Dark Chocolate Bars filled with Speculoos Spread are the best thing in the world.
Overnight oats topped with A Loving Spoon nut butter sample. This stuff is GOOD.
This little throw together meal: left over quinoa mixed with TJ’s curry sauce topped with roasted garlic broccoli and fried eggs.
Reflexion Yoga has seriously saved me. I’m falling in love with yoga and wake up craving a stretch.

Five Things Making Me Happy:
COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh hell yes. And I booked a last minute flight out to South Bend tomorrow!! I wasn’t sure I’d be able to go to any games, but figured I wouldn’t have much work already so I found a flight and off I go to see my friends and family at Notre Dame! I haven’t been to a home game in 2 years, which is like an eternity for me. GO IRISH!

I have an article in the latest edition of “Making Connections”, the publication from the National Eating Disorders Association!! They spelled my name wrong (oops!) but it’s on page 18 and called “Transforming My Struggle Into a Tool for Successful Advocacy”. You can read here:
Not having labs this week. School STILL seems like a lot even with out labs, but it’s going to get oh-so much busier. Enjoying the downtime while I can!
Hmm…Bleeding. I got my period, did you hear? And every time I had to ..ahem..take care of it, I was all smiles. Sorry that’s gross…but not. It’s awesome.
The 5 billion or so emails I got from girls going through similar menstrual issues. If you EVER think you are alone, my inbox proves you’re not. Wednesday night I sat myself down and tried to thoughtfully respond to every single one. You guys are so amazing. It’s wonderful to know my story resonates and I hope I can help show you guys you’re strong enough to do it too!
- Your turn! What’s making you happy this week?
