It’s a rainy one here so I’m lounging with some coffee and writing this blog post before I go up to my desk for the day. I have lots of studying to get in before my last weekend of yoga teacher training starts tonight! These weekends, while always amazing, are pretty stressful now that school has started. But as of Sunday I will be a certified yoga teacher and I can’t wait!!!
Do you have fun plans for the weekend? I hope so!
This low fodmap quinoa casserole recipe. I wanted to make something that I could easily throw in tupperware for lunch each day, and this is perfect! I added some bell pepper for even more veggies. It’s delicious!
My Copy Cat Nutty Super Grain Smoothie for breakfasts or snacks now that I finally bought frozen strawberries. It’s just the perfect texture and right amount of filling but not too heavy. But now I miss Hilton Head!
Morning workouts. I don’t do these everyday since yoga happens at night, but I’m really glad I’ve gotten back into the habit of going to the gym first thing. I used to do this every day when I worked and it is so energizing! It also feels so good to get something accomplished before you start the work day. It also makes me be efficient at the gym because I only leave myself about 45 minutes to workout. Are you a morning exerciser?
Our respiratory module course director. We started respiratory this week, and while incredibly math heavy so far, the course director is so great. You can tell he cares so much and puts in extra effort to make sure we will do well. That means optional lunch discussions, reviews each Friday, and some problem solving sessions. It is so appreciated!!
Teaching yoga!! My studio instructor couldn’t make it last minute, so when I showed up to yoga on Tuesday night I ended up teaching!! It was a little nerve wracking, but also really exciting. I love that I’m able to! And now that teacher training is wrapping up, I’m looking into my teaching schedule. Right now I think it’ll be one class a week (or so) at my studio, and then a couple of volunteer teaching positions through school. It’s great to see yoga being recommended and offered to patients more and more.
^^Love this 🙂
Alright, time to study. Have a great day and a great weekend!!
