Hey everyone! Happy Friday!
This week was another study-filled one since we had another test today. Then again, every week is a study week. I did get some time for fun though! My roommate treated me to a pedicure as a birthday gift, and yesterday we went to a sample sale for The Normal Brand. My friend Jimmy started this St. Louis based clothing company and it has totally taken off. The materials are so stretchy and comfortable, and I love the tag line, “Embrace Life In The Middle.” Midwest proud! Check it out!
Here’s are my favorites this Friday!
The mocha Vega flavor is THE best and both my roommate and I have been having a Vega One smoothie each day. She now calls it her “crack” because her mile time has mysteriously dropped by over a minute…she’s in killer shape for her upcoming half marathon! No telling what it’s due to, but I’ll give it to Vega. I love the stuff!
(My copy cat Smoothie King Nutty Super Grain is still in the rotation too, using the vanilla flavor!)
Have you guys seen these!? Fitness Marshall is a YouTube channel with awesome dance workout videos to the latest hits. They are SO fun! I sometimes watch them just for entertainment, but I have actually done a bunch of them at home for a good sweat. A few of us are starting to do them after my weekly yoga class at school, too!
New seasons of New Girl on Netflix
I watched all of New Girl when I lived in Louisville a few years ago, and I just learned a new season was out. It is the funniest. Perfect quick show to watch for study breaks!
Chocolate Chip Energy Balls
In effort to stop eating cookies (so many treats around my birthday!), I made some chocolate chip energy balls. Which are basically cookies, but I feel better about them. I used this basic recipe, but tailored it. No coconut or chia, and I subbed maple syrup for the honey. These were gone way too quickly.
The story of this dress: my roommate has this J.Crew dress and told me to try it on for an upcoming conference in Seattle. I tried it on, but she is a little bit smaller than me and it was way too tight. Unfortunate, because it’s adorable!
Then I was browsing ThredUP, a resale shop, and saw the dress in my size for only $30!! I had a credit, too, from selling clothes a few months back, so I got this dress for a steal. It fits perfectly and I am SO excited about it!! Definitely will be using ThredUP again, especially to get a bunch of clinic clothes when I start rotations.
Visiting LB this weekend!!
I haven’t gotten to spend time with my best friend in SO long!! I’m going to visit her and we have plans to do Glowga, go up to Notre Dame for the football game, and go to a Disney costume themed birthday party. I cannot wait for a good girls weekend!
Check it out….
Have a great weekend!!
