It’s been a hard week for a lot of people. I’ve been pretty distracted and had a hard time focusing on my work. There has been lots of healthy discussion in my life, luckily, and I think we need to keep promoting that. Now more than ever, regardless of your views, we need to send our love, compassion, and understanding into the world.

I’m in Seattle right now for an AAMC conference!! I’ve never bene before, and the flight in was so gorgeous. I’m pretty jam packed all weekend with conference meetings, but I’m hoping I have at least a little time to see some of the city. Tell me the must-sees!
Egg and Avocado Toast
I’ve been avoiding avocado for the last few months since it is a FODMAP, but I had egg and avocado toast when I was visiting Indianapolis a few weeks ago and forgot how good it was! Luckily the avocado didn’t give me any trouble, so I’ve been adding it back into the rotation. Still working to perfect the perfectly drippy egg….
So when I got home from Indianapolis there was a package waiting for me, and inside I found these elephant pants with no explanation. No card. No note. No clue who sent me elephant pants.
I wore them around the house a whole bunch because they are crazy comfortable, and then a few days later I finally got a text from my little brother asking if I received elephant pants!! He and his fiancé got them for me for my birthday by googling “gifts for yoga people! (hahaha) — I would have never guessed!
Wicked Sound Track
About once a year I get on a Wicked kick, and it was las week. My roommates probably want to kill me, but I could listen to Defying Gravity and As Long As You’re Mine on repeat.
New Yoga Poses!
Getting into tripod headstand from wide legged forward fold! I shared a post on instagram about it — about how I had always told myself I couldn’t get into tripod headstand because my hamstrings were too tight and my legs were too long. So I never even tried. Well, during a self-practice at the gym last week, I went for it and popped right up! Apparently all the yoga has loosened up my hamstrings enough to make it possible. (Here’s a video of someone else doing it if you’re curious what I’m talking about.) It was definitely good motivation to keep pushing my limits and never give up.
K. Deer Leggings
Don’t have any, but am eyeing them constantly!
We’re still in the first week of G.I., but I am loving learning about digestion so far. Could I follow in my dad’s footsteps…??
