What’s up? Hows your week going?
Mine is great – busy so far!! I’m helping prepare an anatomy presentation for my yoga teacher training and it’s taking a lot of time. Good thing is I LOVE IT. It’s great review for me, plus I get all nerdy excited about the body. It’s actually turning out to be a fairly thorough yet simplified review of anatomy and physiology, so I’m considering sharing/selling/using it to teach others in the future as well.
Last night my friend Nicole threw a girls’ night Bachelorette party. She is the cutest and always does such fun, girly, cutesy things! We all brought over some appetizers and wine, put on face masks and camped out on the couch. It was sooooo basic:)
Are you guys watching this season? Who is your favorite? I looooved James Taylor but kind of knew she wouldn’t pick him. I’d pick him. I’m actually considering driving to Nashville right now to go find him. <3
Today I drove my friend to the airport, worked on the anatomy presentation, then drove to the burbs to go over it with my yoga teacher. Since yoga is near my parents’ house I’m now over here using their cable to watch some Chip and Johanna while I continue with my work.
So unfortunately I think that that super great heavy squat I was able to do actually messed up my knee. Lesson learned: have an expert watch my form whenever I try to lift super heavy. I think I either tweaked something or got some ligaments/tendons all tight and messy because now my right knee is a little painful and feels pretty unstable.
It’s freaking me out!! Knee issues are not something to brush off. Both of my parents have bad knees and I’m sure my years of running didn’t do me any favors. I’m hoping I can get it all worked out through some rest, massage, foam rolling etc. It does suck to feel sidelined though – I’m sticking to very gentle yoga, upper body strength, and rest rest rest.
Any advice for knee troubles?
Alright, talk to you later!! xoxo
