I’m working out after work today ( I WILL I WILL I WILL) because I had to drive Andy to the airport this morning. We were both kinda hoping the .02 inches of snow that North Dallas got last night would cause the city to shut down, but so such luck. I don’t get it? It’s not like the high is 64 tomorrow or anything.

So all of you people that were interested in Integrative Nutrition when I had that $1000 scholarship a few weeks ago and get it again!
Annnd lastly. The giveaway.
Ever since starting the Live Fit Trainer, I’ve been making a big effort to eat real, whole foods and avoid anything process or packaged. (We will ignore the past week of sugar overload which I will discuss later). Jamie Eason’s homemade protein bars have been making the perfect snack along with protein shakes and my newfound love for cottage cheese.
I got asked if I would continue to eat any snack bars while I was on the program, and my response was that I would try to only use them when I was in a pinch. And while I love Luna bars and Lara Bars, one of my other favorites is a Think Thin bar. The name is awful, but the high protein and incredibly low sugar content makes them a great fit for the nutritional goals of Live Fit.
So when the contacted me asking to do a review and giveaway, I was super excited. Here’s what they sent me:

I love how dense the high protein bars are, and that they are decadent without being too sweet. And the nutritional stats! You just can’t beat them. Obviously whole foods without as many ingredients are always better, but these really are great for an emergency or a yummy treat.
Aside from the high protein bars, they also make the thinkThin Crunch bars shown above, thinkThin Bites, and thinkThin Golden Clusters. Everything is low sugar, high protein, and gluten free!

I am now following & liking ThinkThin Bars. Love that these bars are lower in sugar and contain the protein stats I expect in a protein bar. Healthy or no, when I read the stats on other bars I feel that they are little more than a vitamin laden Snicker’s bar.

My days are crazy – and sometimes it’s tempting to take the easy route and just get take-out – but I make it a priority to cook a dinner every night for my husband and myself. I am able to integrate nutritious veggies and lean proteins – and can control what we are putting into our bodies. Who knows what added preservatives and additives are in those foods, anyway!
