Looks like Mexican, huh?
Yesterday morning I was contemplating what I wanted to do that night. I decided sushi and renting Argo sounded good. Then I realized it was Friday, and a normal 25-year-old would be hanging out with her friends, so I texted the girls to see if they’d be down.
Sushi and Argo weren’t going to work, but someone mentioned National Margarita Day and so a Mexican dinner was planned!

For living in St. Louis again, I see my high school friends far too little. It was only 4 of us, but I got all caught up and we laughed hysterically as usual.

Margaritas, of course!

We ate at La Cantina, a relatively new restaurant in Webster Groves. I had a shrimp salad with avocado, jicama, and queso fresco as my main course. And my new salt love meant that the basket of tortilla chips tasted especially delicious.
Plus a few handfuls of jelly beans for dessert at home.
- Do you like Margaritas?
- What’s your go-to at Mexican restaurants?

I love margaritas of all kinds, although fresh ones are the best. My favorite place for margaritas is Lolita in Philadelphia. The mixes are made fresh and it’s bring your own tequila so you decide how strong you want your drink to be.
I hate margaritas! Whenever I go to Mexican food I think they sound good and two sips later I’m done! Now Mexican food on the other hand… Love that!!
YUM! I love a good margarita – my favorites are the ones made with agave and fresh lime juice. I never really liked margaritas until I tried these ones and now I must have one with mexican food!
I used to love margaritas but I drank too many when I was younger. I love all sorts of tacos…pastor and carnitas are my favourite!
I’m the exact opposite! I only like frozen sweet margaritas! Mad Mex’s caramel apple was the best margarita I’ve ever had.
Looks like you had a fun time last night. I had mexican food but no margarita…I hope you had an extra one for me.
I realized it was National Margarita Day last night around 9:30pm. I had a small bottle of SkinnyGirl margarita mix, so I made myself one and then promptly got in bed! At least you had more fun than I did!
I can’t believe I missed Margarita Day. But I’m in San Diego and there’s plenty to be found. I am resolving right now to do a make-up day tonight. (Any excuse for a margarita is a good one.) Love traditional, on the rocks with salt. Thanks for the link, Clare and to your readers for checking us out!!
