Twenty 2018 Goals That Could Actually Make Your Life Better Next Year When I first started blogging I felt obligated to come up with some big, impressive resolutions for each new year. Actually, for a while I felt obligated to do that every month, too. Everyone else was doing it, and back then blogging was really just everyone sharing pictures of their food and writing the exact same things. Thank goodness things have changed, because I'm really not a resolution person. They never . . .
So often my best purchases are the ones I waver on and try to convince myself out of. Those things I'm not sure of end up being the most loved and used. My goal is always to make more of my purchases these "best" and loved kind -- more classics, things that fit seamlessly into my closet and life, and make my life a little prettier, happier, and easier. Here are my 10 best purchases in 2017! Gold Full Length Mirror As a medical student renting with roommates, spending money on home decor . . .
A few weeks ago I went to my InstaStories to ask for your recommendations on at home workout options. I didn't have enough time to go to the gym and just wanted to do a little something in my living room. Now that I'm traveling over this holiday break, I'm finding myself in that situation a lot more! A few of you messaged me privately to ask what people told me, and I promised I'd share them. I figured this could be a time a lot of other people need some good at home workout options too, so . . .
Christmas was new and different, but so wonderful this year. We spent the holiday in Hilton Head for the first time, which meant new traditions and warmer weather. Since we're all older and don't have any little kids yet, Christmas is much more about fun family time together and way less about waking up early for presents. It's less exciting, but way more relaxing. t I'm sure we'll love it when we get to experience Christmas through kids' eyes a few years down the road! Christmas Eve Christmas . . .
Sharing my tips on how and why I balance medical school with working part time jobs, aka "side hustles" "I don't know how you do it all!" I get that a lot. And my initial gut reaction is, "Oh my goodness, I don't!" It's not very common to work during medical school anymore. (My mom worked her way through medical school though!) So, when people see that I also have a blog, Beautycounter business, and teach yoga, I suppose it seems a little crazy. But while I keep myself very busy, I . . .
I had always wanted to experience New York City at Christmas! It just seemed so magical with the big trees and department store windows and everything all lit up. Obviously I was really excited when I planned to visit my boyfriend here right before Christmas, and even more excited when he said he wanted to take me to see the Rockettes!! Bryant Park We got into the city mid afternoon yesterday and walked around Bryant Park for a little bit. We saw the tree, the ice skaters, and wandered some . . .
Sharing Three Things You Need To Know About Beautycounter. There are a few things I really need you to know about Beautycounter, especially as an eating disorder survivor and future physician. There are a lot of misconceptions about the company that I want to correct. I also want to make sure you know my stance on certain points. First, I'm not about making women (or men!) feel like they need to look different. I'm about empowering people to choose safer versions of the products . . .
Maybe you're like me, and you kind of go blank when people ask you what's on your holiday wish list. I am so lucky to not need anything. But my family runs on detailed Christmas list emails (so lame, but so helpful), and last week I started to get texts that I needed to get mine sent out ASAP! I decided just to make a list of things I'd love at a variety of price points. This way my family can pick a few things from the list, knowing I'll be thrilled with anything they choose. It's a pretty . . .
Hey friends! I took a little break from posting while I was studying for my OBGYN final this past week. (For all of you that ask how I "do it all" -- I don't!! My side gigs like this blog are set aside when I have a lot of school to focus on. I'm going to write a bigger post on balancing all of this over break.) But now that that test is over I am FREE for two whole weeks! I'm catching up on SO much life outside of school and my to-do list is a mile long. I'll be busy with all of that until I . . .
Happy Saturday!! I'm getting this post done while I wait for my boyfriend to wake up. He's here this weekend, which is such a treat!! It's been a month since since I've seen him because we both have a million things going on - way too long! My OBGYN final is on Friday so I have to study this weekend, but at least I get to study next to him. (This quote is getting me through right now!) Here's my weekly recap! Outfits: Scrubs and workout clothes, that's about it! Last night I . . .
