Presidential Upgrade

We arrived in Miami!

I snuck in a quick 30 minute run before we left for the airport, and our second flight from Memphis included part of the Notre Dame band! It was fun to be surrounded by Irish fans.

My family of five was going to squeeze into one room with double beds, so while my dad was parking my mom and I surprised him with an upgrade….

to the Presidential Suite. The guy only charged us a slight upgrade (much less than the room normally goes for) so we went for it.

We have a piano.

Going to grab dinner, though I suggested we just bring dinner in and eat at our dining room table while enjoying the views of the bay. We’re like kids in a candy store.

Great family vacation so far! :)

  • Ever stayed in a REALLY nice hotel suite?

This is definitely a first for me!!

  1. How cool!! I stayed in a super nice suite in Venice, Italy and it was crazy. I felt like royalty and never wanted to leave haha

  2. How wonderful! Have so much fun with your family!

  3. HAHA I LOVE that you have a piano!!!!!!!!! That is awesome. Nice hotel rooms are seriously so great. And bad hotel rooms are the exact opposite- funny how that works. My mom and I stayed at the Plaza in NYC when I was younger and I felt like Eloise- did you ever read those books? Have fun Clare!!!

  4. My hubby and I went to a concert when we first started dating and were upgraded to a “business suite”. Our room had a board table with about 25 fancy office chairs around it, as well as a few strange little L shaped couches, a small kitchen and then a normal hotel room and bathroom. It was the most random and hilarious hotel room I have ever seen. Of note we were also upgraded to floor seats from nosebleed sections at the concert.

  5. Thats crazy that you have a piano in there! LOL. Glad you’re having fun with family. I actually got upgraded at a hotel in Vegas one (Aria hotel) it was GORGEOUS. One entire wall was windows. I felt like I was in heaven (and rich and famous only if it was for a weekend haha). Enjoy your vacation!

  6. what a nice room! have a great day!

  7. My husband and I had a corner room on the 33rd floor when we were staying at a really nice hotel downtown this summer, the night before we left for our honeymoon. The whole room was surrounded in windows and we could see for miles. Unfortunately, it was short lived because we had to leave at 3:30am for our flight, and then our flight ended up being cancelled at the last minute anyway. Needless to say, I was a little upset!

  8. Oooh, fancy! I’ve never stayed in a really nice hotel room, I don’t think. Although, when I went on a cruise with my parents last year, they got one of the rooms with a balcony. It was so nice!! Unfortunately, I was stuck on a different level without even a window ;)

  9. Wow that’s so nice!

  10. Wow! I didn’t even know hotels had pianos. That’s an awesome upgrade! Have fun in Miami. My sister is there too!
