I had a 4:30 am wake up call this morning to take the lovely LoLo to the airport. I threw on my gym clothes and drove straight there afterward, but still wasn’t super high on energy. My legs were sore from FRAN yesterday (AHHH!) so I wasn’t in the mood to run. Instead I set up camp on an elliptical with the latest Self Magazine.
And then I got bored. Because I finished my magazine and ellipticals are boring. Ever get that way? Where you don’t necessarily want to be finished working out, you just HAVE to get off of that stupid machine?
This circuit is for you. It’s just a quickie workout finisher, or starter, or a complete workout if you’re short on time. It should take around 10 minutes and give you a little extra sweat time when you need to mix things up.
Med Ball Elbow = Hold a medicine or other workout ball between your knees. Perform a regular sit up and elbow the ball once per side before lying back and repeating again. Substitutions: Sub 500m row with a .25 mile run (or any run – to the end of the block and back, etc) Sub medicine ball elbows with regular sit-ups Sub push-ups with push-ups on your knees (but get all the way down to the ground!)

“I must do something” always solves more problems than “Something must be done”.
