I cannot thank you guys enough for all of your excitement and support for my big job announcement yesterday. I was SO nervous to post that – even more nervous than telling me boss for some reason. You guys are important to me!
On the way home from work I called the CEO of the new company (do we have to keep calling it Company B still?!) and accepted the offer. We were both squeeling with excitement! She gave me two options for start dates – a week a part – and I haven’t decided which I’ll take yet. My mom is considering visiting in that week so if she does I’ll start later. If not, I’ll dive right in on Jan 30th.
I feel SO happy.
*******************************
Even with all the excitement, life must go on. Good thing I’m just as excited about my workouts these days! Day 9 was the same as Day 2 - back and biceps. Except this time I was lucky enough to see my friend Susan at the gym:)
Grrr someone stole the 12lb weights that I wanted to use for curls. I didn’t want to go up to 15 lbs and lose form, so I just stuck to 10 lbs. I definitely think I can increase some of my weights next week though!
Back at home I switched things up a bit and had pre-made egg white muffins with 2 corn tortillas for my first meal of the day. This was somewhat against my will. I would have loved a sweet delicious protein shake, but I had the egg white muffins made and didn’t want them to go bad!
Lots of people on the Live Fit program eat TONS of egg whites. Like at least two times a day. I am not following the meal plan to a T so I’ve substituted other protein sources (like the Greek yogurt in my overnight oats). Hopefully I still get good results!
Today’s Outfit:
Jacket: boutique here in Dallas Black dress: Old Navy (I think?) Leggings: Five Bamboo Boots: Etienne Aigner (likely going to try on some black heeled boots at the store for the day) Necklace: Forever 21 or H&M…something cheapOff to work! Still have to let lots of my employees know about my decision. It’s so freeing now that it’s been done and I can stop saying “I might” and “maybe”.
**I added a Live Fit page to my blog. It’s under “Start Here –> Workouts –> Live Fit Trainer. I’m going to try to keep it updated and potentially move it to a more prominent place if you guys think that’s too hard to find.

Congrats again on the new job! And I’m still loving the Live Fit updates.. You are slowly converting me over!!! haha (its the addiction to bodypump thats holding me back..)
LOVE the boots
Love the jacket! You have me thinking about Live Fit, too.
your outfit is too cute! And I’m glad everything is going so well!
I’m so happy for you! I love the outfit and I bet these next couple of weeks are just gonna fly by
So happy for you! I definitely want to do the live fit trainer once my half marathon is up!
1. I’m just catching up from the weekend, and I’m SO EXCITED for you!!! Congrats on the new gig. I’m preeettty jealous right now.
In a good way.
2. LOVE. that. jacket.
3. I now need to make egg white muffins. stat.
Congrats, that is really exciting! I bet it feels great to follow your heart
Good decision!
I also love your outfit today
Full egg yolks..far more nutrition and value in that.
If you want to gain muscle and strength, calories are important too. Egg whites on 2 corn tortillas are missing fats and really end up still a very low-calorie meal (you don’t want to lose weight !
Adding in olive oil and avocado with yolks would be a step up to the whole real food thing. Good luck anyway. But remember, that calories are also important to gain muscle (regardless of the protein…though that is important). And fats and whole grains are of course important for overall health also. Don’t fear the fats!
I’m on a specific meal plan that I’m following right now. Back to egg yolks after that! I know all about the nutritional benefits:)
Love that you made a Live Fit page!
That is going to be an awesome resource for anyone doing the program!
Ditto!
Hi Clare!
I am loving your live fit updates lately, I’m on the same day as you so it is awesome to compare and get meals ideas from you! I was just wondering which facebook pages you were following that you had mentioned? I’m following Jamie’s page but I’m interested in the community ones as well. Thanks!
If you search Jamie Eason’s 12 Week Trainer and Jamie Eason’s 12 Week Trainer – New Years Challenge you should find them and can request an invite!
i felt the same way when i accepted my offer i was like GLOWING haha and couldn’t stop smiling
I am so happy for you Clare! I have been reading/following along with your blog and your journey for a while now, and I am so excited for you!
i checked out some of the recipes on the live fit site and i cannot wait to make the pumpkin protein bars!!! all her stuff looks really delicious. perhaps i will just adopt to eating portion of the plan haha
ps you look beautiful as always
YAY congrats clare!! I’m loving how you’re doing livefit! I’m not following it exactly, but I’m learning a lot from it and love following people’s progress.
Thanks carrie! Good luck with the new blog!
i am excited about my workouts too and its a nice change of pace! I am having a hard time eating a lot of egg whites there so I am just focusing on EXTRA protein and less carbs in general
So happy that you are happy! Once I was finally able to tell people at work (last week) it felt SO good! Like you said, “freeing”!
I have not been following the diet plan at all – so I’ll be the guinea pig for you!
I figure I eat a clean diet that’s relatively high in protein, so I might as well just keep doing what I’m doing!
I’m sure you will be JUST fine. I was a little off course for a few stressful months so the diet guidelines have been great for helping me to get back on the clean eating bandwagon.
so happy for you with the new job opportunity! it sounds like a perfect fit and a great opportunity.
Same for you and your new job!! I’ll miss having you in Dallas!
Aww so happy for you
Especially love the “squealing with excitement” part!
