Somehow, suddenly, my weekend is full of plans! I have a few busy weekends coming up so I wanted to have this one be low-key and relaxing. Luckily all my plans are fun girly things so it should be great!
Friday Night = Me time & pedicure. This included a beer and gossip mag on my couch, Say Yes To The Dress, as well as the coffee flavor of Lush Nuts. Very very good. Have you entered the giveaway?
Saturday = Workout, shopping date with a friend from my previous job, then girl-talk, wine, and movie with Lo Lo. Note: I have never called Lauren Lo Lo before. I have no idea why that happened.
Sunday = Church, walk or movie with Julie, Lululemon yoga event, Oscars party!
And of course some grocery shopping, food prep, and laundry in between. So to get the party started, I woke up at 7am today and had pumpkin overnight oats and coffee.
Then I hit the gym. I almost drove because it was chilly this morning, but I’m glad I decided to walk because it turned out to be a beautiful 60 degree day. The workout was fine. I’m not a fan of back workouts and the straight arm pull downs were weird, but any workout is a good workout!
Post gym it was an omelette and toast + shower. This is sauteed greens and peppers, 5 egg whites, a slice of soy cheese, and a piece of Ezekiel toast. I also had two clementines.
Now it’s time to shower before shopping! I haven’t gone shopping with a girlfriend since high school so this should be fun.
- When you shop, do you prefer to go alone or with friends?
I generally like to go alone. I don’t like pressure to buy things I don’t really like, or not to buy something I actually DO like! I often want to get in and out too. But on occasion it’s fun with other people!

I prefer solo shopping as well – it lets me take as much time or as little time as I want, without having to justify to anyone else who may be annoyed at this, haha!

I like solo shopping unless its with my mom and sisters. I tend to not by anything if I’m shopping with others.
I hate shopping at all and try to avoid it, I think that is why I started making clothing. As a dress maker, I HATE when women shop with friends. A woman will try a dress on and come out of the dressing room ecstatic with a piece of clothing but one “eh” look from a girlfriend and she will sullenly put it back on the rack.
I was meant to shop today, but not a piercing instead with my friend, haha! got to shop tomorrow.. I love shopping with my friends more!
when i do go, i like to go alone, as well. i am usually a pretty fast shopper and get kind of irritated waiting for my super-slow-shopping mother/sister/girlfriends.

I shop by myself because I can go at my own pace.
I’m definitely a solo shopper unless I’m with my mom or husband. They know my routine. I’m in and out…not a huge fan of just browsing. Hope you had fun!

I like to shop solo too. I can go at my own pace and when i’ve had enough I can leave without worrying that someone else still wanted to keep shopping. Enjoy your weekend!

When I shop I sometimes like to be by myself so I can take as long/as little time as I need but at the same time, I like having friends to tell me to buy things or not to buy them! btw, super excited I have off work so I can watch the Oscars tomorrow too!
When I really need something, I much prefer to go alone, for the same reasons you said – I don’t like to feel pressured to buy or not buy something, and I like to take my time deciding. But if I don’t really want anything and just want to walk around, I prefer to go with a friend.
I like to go shopping by myself. I can take a long time deciding, and I feel bad when other people have to wait. I also don’t want someone to feel pressured to say that they like what I’m trying on, even if they don’t, and vice versa.
Okaaaay – I saw that gossip magazine at Target today and wanted to buy it but I’m cheap. Tell me ALL about that Courtney article!

I like to shop with certain people, but shopping with other people can drive me crazy!!! I have a good friend who jokes that we “shop alike”, so I will go with her anytime.
Good beer choice. We named our schnauzer after it. lol.
