Wow! I had no idea how many people use coconut oil as a beauty product. I was totally behind on that.
Last night I got together with some blog girlfriends for dinner.
It was a little all over the place – we were originally going to go to Fridas Vegetarian Deli, then realized it closed at 7pm. Then we decided on Nadoz, only to find that their cafe closed early too and our only option was to eat at the wine bar next door.
Just fine with us, though! VinoNadoz is little more upscale – dim lighting and a small but unique menu. They use local ingredients and had interesting dishes like a homemade squid ink pasta and pork belly.
My eyes were immediately drawn to the Winter Vegetable Bruschetta.
Gooey caramelized onions piled high on crispy toast with a light schmear of goat cheese.
And you can’t get better company! Linz you’ll probably recognize from the blog ItzLinz. She and I have gotten together a few times since I moved home. And Becca (who coincidentally is dating Linz’ cousin) is a reader that I have gotten to know over the last few months and is wonderful. She’s going to start her own blog! (right!? )
Such a fun night just to relax and catch up.
PLUS when I got home, my older brother was over! (Fun fact: we call my brother ‘John Brady”, rarely just “John.”
We had a few hours of family time before I went up to bed.
- When’s the last time you had girl’s night?
- What’s one weird nickname you have in your family?
